Abe Fisher

Inspired by the journey of the Jewish people from their ancestral homeland to the Diaspora, Abe Fisher pays homage to centuries of tradition, while embracing the idea that cultural exchange places cuisine in a continuous state of evolution. The nightly menu pulls together centuries-old flavors from Montreal to Budapest to Brooklyn. It modernizes and elevates the long-familiar classics of Jewish soul food. Nowhere is this effort more rewarded than in Abe’s signature dish – the Montreal Short Ribs – which is believed to be "smoked meat nirvana".

Aki Nom Nom Sushi and Ramen

Finally! Authentic Hakata Style Tonkotsu Ramen in Philadelphia! A masterful bowl whose superior ingredients and magnificent, robust flavor would truly stand out for you to savor to the last slurp! We take the time to boil selected pork bones for more than 24 hours to extract the richness from the marrow, cartilage and meats. Then we add vegetables, kelp, mushrooms and other ingredients to make our cherished Tonkotsu soup. From the pot, the soup goes into bowls where it is infused with our delicious blend. Into the completed broth we add our exclusive Hakata style noodles boiled to just the right consistency (which can be altered to your taste). Finally topped with fresh scallions, marinated bamboo shoots, crunchy kikurage mushrooms and mouth watering chashu pork belly sprinkled with sesame seed completes why our ramen is “Nom Nom”!

Alice Pizza and Restaurant (Locust Street)

Alice pizza was first created nearly 30 years ago in Rome. Since then it has flourished as one of the premiere pizza al taglio restaurants in Italy with over 100 locations. Now it’s creator, Domenico Giovanini, and local restaurateur Mario Longo have teamed up to bring the first Alice Pizza to Philadelphia.

Chef Marcie Blaine Turney grew up in Ripon, Wisconsin. Her grandparents Blaine (better know as "Bud") and Marilyn owned a restaurant in her hometown called The Spot. She grew up in the restaurant business sipping Shirley Temples at the bar. Bud & Marilyn's is an homage to the restaurant she grew up in. After more than 20 years in the business (yes, Marcie also owns a few other restaurants - Lolita, Barbuzzo, Little Nonna's and Jamonera) she wanted to open a restaurant with a simple focus - great food + drink with genuine hospitality in the neighborhood she calls home. Her menu is American inspired and focuses on simple, well prepared comfort food.
